Because of Mauville's influx of Fallarbor refugees, the once-abandoned plans for the construction of New Mauville were put back into place in an attempt to create new jobs and stimulate a quickly falling economy. The first few floors of the supposed 90 are complete and mostly house Fallarbor refugees and lower class citizens. Despite its newness, its walls are splattered with graffiti and trash lines the artificially lit streets. Unfortunately, it has become a hub for criminal activity.
