[attr="class","infopost-sectionbg"]All characters on Catalyst are required to have a PC, which is used to store information about their Pokemon and inventory. To create your PC, find the post below that contains the code specific to your character's group (Trainer, Aqua, etc.). Copy the code in the first box into a new thread in the PCs board, remove the asterisks from the Ptab tags (you will want to do this in a word processor) and title the thread "CHARACTER NAME'S PC". The first post in the thread should now contain the Item Storage component of the PC. For the second post, copy and paste the code for the Pokemon Storage, which you can find right below the code for the Item Storage. Once again, you will need to remove the asterisks from the PTab tags. You can find an example of what the two parts of the PC are supposed to look like in the second post of this thread.

Fill in your Item Storage and Pokemon Storage with all your character's items and Pokemon. If you aren't sure how to edit the information in, please refer to the guide below. If you happen to acquire more than 30 Pokemon, please add another storage box to your character's PC -- do not attempt to add more tabs to the template, as it will break.

Pokemon Storage

The storage boxes for Pokemon might look a little intimidating at first, but don't worry -- they're actually quite easy to edit! The first thing you'll want to change is the title of the PC, which by default says "NAME'S PC". All you need to do is find this bit of code, near the top:

And change "NAME" to your character's name. Please note that the asterisk at the beginning will not be present in the actual code.

With that done, it's time to add in your character's Pokemon. The process is the same for each one, so we'll only go over adding the first Pokemon in. To start, find this line, right under the one you just edited (again, it will not have the asterisk in the actual code):

Replace the URL in img src with a URL of an icon of your character's Pokemon. For best results, we recommend using the sprites on Bulbapedia; other icons may become stretched and distorted. A few lines down, you'll find this line of code:

From this point on, the exact line of code will differ depending on your character's affiliation, and the "t" in the "pc-template-t-pkmn-name" will change to reflect this ("m" is for Magma, "a" for Aqua, and "l" for League), so you will have to adjust your search accordingly. Change "Nickname" in that line to your Pokemon's nickname, and then find this line just below:

Replace "Gender" and "Species" with the gender and species of the Pokemon. You should also see this url a few lines down:

If the Pokemon you're editing in was not introduced in Gen VII (Sun and Moon), change "ditto" to the name of the Pokemon. Otherwise, you'll have to look elsewhere for the full-bodied sprite. Right below that is a space for the Pokemon's ability, and a list for their moves. Replace the text between the div tags accordingly, being careful not to delete any of the square brackets.

When you're finished, find this line of code:

And replace "Description" with misc. information pertaining to the Pokemon. Or don't replace it -- descriptions are not mandatory, and there is no required format for them. Fill in that section however you'd like.
